Magnetoelastic (ME) sensor is based on magnetostrictive material, allowing signal excitation and transmission through the magnetic field for passive wireless sensing of target parameters like mass accumulation. In this project, firstly, we build the models in COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB to realize the simulation and analysis of ME sensor characteristics. Secondly, we evaluate the influence of relevant sensor parameters on sensitivity for performance improvement.

We would like to thank Jiaxin Jiang and Krithika Sureshkumar, who have given us a lot of support for our Senior Design. They helped us throughout the whole process, including the understanding of the schematic model in the early stage to the simulation experiments in the later stage. The regular meetings every two weeks not only allowed us to advance our project smoothly but also helped us to overcome the difficulties on the road of learning and research.
